This 2-day course teaches accessible new tools for enhancing team dynamics and supporting healthy work environments, including accessing free team building and conflict coaching services through the Oregon Federal Executive Board Shared Neutrals program.
Suitable for those who are familiar with mediation and curious about different formats and useful for managers who routinely participate in mediation and have not yet had the training, or who refer employees to mediation.
Using demonstrations and role-plays, participants will gain competency using the three models of mediation: Interest-based, narrative, & transformative. Additional course objectives will focus on learning to manage the natural energy of a conflict, practicing ways to guide more complex mediations through probing, addressing a conflict that occurs in the moment, and mediating multi party cases.
