Workplace Violence Prevention Workshop
On June 29, 2010, the Oregon FEB hosted a training session
that featured practical solutions to help agencies prepare and respond to workplace violence.
The session focused on the warning signs and triggers of workplace violence, and actions an organization can take to minimize the potential and respond effectively if an incident occurs. It included scenario questions and opportunities for in-depth discussion during the second half of the workshop.

Instructors
Allen Freauff, Oregon OSHA
Following an honorable discharge from the US Air Force, Al joined the Portland Police Bureau in 1971, and from 1974-80 he trained fellow officers and students of law enforcement. Upon retiring from the Portland Police Bureau and the US Army Reserve, he went to work for Oregon OSHA. In 2006 Al became an external training specialist in the Public Education Section, and since that time he has been conducting both scheduled training courses and on-site training to employees and employers throughout Oregon.
Layne Frambes, Area Commander, Federal Protective Service
Layne will be sharing his real-world law enforcement experience on how to address incident response and the aftermath, and his perspective on the unique issues faced in the wide variety of public sector work settings.
